The nice thing about Seiko, is they make all their movement from their most affordable watches to their high end lines. You know that you’re getting good value for the money and a lot of support if you need repairs. The Seiko cocktail time is a bit of a cult classic in the watch collecting community. First launched in 2010, the Cocktail Time was created in partnership with Shinobu Ishigaki. He is one of the world’s best mixologists and the proprietor of Ishinohana Ba in Shibuya, Tokyo. This bar was actually featured on Anthony Bourdain’s series, “No Reservations.” One look at the dial and you can see why they are so popular. The sunburst dial reflects light in a most satisfying way. Coupled with the details and other finishes, this watch really presents excellent value for the money.
The Cocktail Time is great as an every day dress watch and also a going-out watch. It’s fun, well made, and yours for just under $425 bucks.
Citizen Blue Angels World Eco-Drive
The Citizen Blue Angels World Eco-Drive is a feature loaded watch for the aspiring pilot or hobbyist. This Blue Angels World Time Chronograph features Eco-Drive (solar power), sapphire crystal, radio-set, 60-minute chronograph, perpetual calendar, day/date, power reserve plus quick-change support for 26 time zones. If you don’t mind the busy dial, it can do just about anything you need and maybe more. These watches have come a long way from their mineral crystal and quartz beginning. If you like a set it and forget it watch without fully joining the smart watch revolution, this watch is for you.

Hamilton Khaki Field Watch
The field watch is a classic design that may not be too dressy, but it can easily handle most situations and outfits.The 38mm size may be modest in size, but it’s meant to be simple clean and wearable in all situations. The automatic movement is usually found on pricier pieces. The Khaki Field line provides rugged construction and elegant design. These watches portray the essence of original Hamilton military watches produced in the 1940s. Originally established in the US, it is now a swiss brand. I think this watch does a great job toeing the line between rugged and elegant sophistication.

Timex Weekender – Todd Snyder
The Timex Weekend is a 1970s-inspired timepiece with military themed dial. A black ring goes from midnight to noon, and an outer red ring goes from noon to midnight giving you a full 24 hour clock. The white ring on the edge of the bulls-eye dial counts the seconds, and an arrow-shaped second hand rounds out the primary functions. Best of all it comes in a 40mm modern sized case is paired with a gray NATO strap. It has a clean modern finish to it. They sold out of their first run really quickly and now have a second run live and active. It’s lightweight yet sporty and fun. The best part is that it’s just $138.
